🧠 Resources + Tools

Sort by:

the toolbox & hivemind

look, we’re all just trying to make cool stuff without losing our minds (or our files). this is the communal stash: links, plug-ins, apps, and half-broken google docs that somehow work.

💾 design stuff — fonts, mockups, inspo boards, and those weird color palette generators that are 60% chaos, 40% genius.
📸 creative gear — cameras, mics, lights, random thrifted props that somehow elevate every shoot.
🧠 brain fuel — podcasts, playlists, zines, articles that remind you why you started creating in the first place.
💬 community picks — drop your favs. gatekeeping is loser behavior.

add what you use. take what you need.

Here are some of my faves:

(these first three are the affiliate links, FYI)

🧱 kadence — the theme builder that makes wordpress behave
🛒 surecart + all their stuff — tools that don’t make you want to scream (I used SureDash for building hey!curbside)
☁️ cloudways hosting — keeps the lights on while you experiment (or break everything)

not an affiliate, but habits i can’t quit

🎨 adobe — the necessary evil we all love-hate. I have the All Apps plan because I use so many. (i mainly use bridge, indesign, acr, illustrator, & ps)
🌐 wordpress — the old reliable. (extra AF, but it’s family.) – the dot org NOT the dot com.
📚 design inspo — archive.org for deep dives + rawpixel for that “vintage scanned ephemera” fix. **Bonus, absolutely any museum with online open access. MetMuseum is my go-to.
🧰 canva — the swiss army knife of design. quick, easy
🧩 figma — collaborative chaos in its most beautiful form.

i’m sure i’ll keep adding to this as i think of them.

what about you??? add yours below. gatekeeping is canceled. 🪩

meta escape guide is live 💾

wrote some stuff and created a guide about getting your business off the zuckerberg hamster wheel. (look, we all know the algorithm isn’t your friend.)

this isn’t a “delete everything and live in the woods” manifesto—it’s practical stuff about building your own corner of the internet so you’re not one policy change away from losing your entire audience.

you don’t need to burn it all down. you just need a backup plan that isn’t… another social media platform.

go read it. actually useful information, zero corporate speak, and it’s free, obvs.

🧷 here it is, bbs.
